The Duquesne Duke is Duquesne University’s award winning student-produced, student-managed newspaper.
Founded in 1925, The Duke provides the campus community with news, editorials, sports coverage, feature pieces, and arts and entertainment stories. It also gives Duquesne’s 10,000 students a forum for their voices to be heard.
The Duke publishes 3,000 print issues each Thursday throughout the academic year, available at 13 campus newsstands. The website is updated daily.
The Duke was named the SPJ’s 2009 Region Four Best All-Around Non-Daily Newspaper. Staff writers and editors have earned several Student Keystone Press Awards and SPJ Mark of Excellence Awards.
