The Duquesne student arrested in Assumption Hall Wednesday morning had three full sandwich bags of marijuana and more than $700 in cash hidden in his dorm room, according to a criminal complaint.
Eighteen-year-old Jorawar Sinh Grewal faces a felony charge for drug dealing and two misdemeanor possession charges.
Assumption Hall Resident Director Nick Dubos inspected Grewal’s sub-floor room at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday after Grewal’s resident assistant reported the smell of marijuana coming from the room, the criminal complaint stated. When Dubos discovered the marijuana and marijuana paraphernalia, he called Duquesne Police, who arrested Grewal, handcuffed him and brought him to the Public Safety building for questioning.
Grewal is awaiting a preliminary hearing.
